Frequently asked questions
Purchase and configuration
Each NOKO e-bike product page includes a dedicated Size Guide. Enter your height and inseam measurement: the system compares them with the specific geometry of the model and recommends the size best suited to your proportions.
If your measurements fall outside the most common range or do not fully correspond, the guide will ask you to check them again or contact our Customer Care team on WhatsApp for personalised advice.
The weight of a NOKO e-bike varies depending on the model and configuration. Our ultralight e-bikes start at 12.8 kg, placing NOKO among the manufacturers of the lightest e-bikes in the world.
We design lightweight bicycles to provide greater agility, easier handling and improved riding efficiency. Their low weight also helps optimise energy consumption and achieve a range of up to 100 km.
The exact weight of each model is shown in its technical specifications.
During the warranty period, contact our Customer Care team before replacing or modifying any structural, mechanical or electrical component of your NOKO. This allows us to verify compatibility and helps protect your warranty coverage.
Damage or malfunctions caused by incompatible components or unauthorised work are not covered by the warranty.
To customise your e-bike safely, choose the compatible accessories indicated for each model on our website.
NOKO e-bikes support a maximum total load of 120 kg. This includes the rider and everything carried on the bicycle, such as luggage and accessories.
Yes. On each e-bike product page, you can choose from the configurations available for that model, including size and colour and, depending on the bicycle, the handlebar, drivetrain, frame type or wheels.
You can also complete your configuration with the optional products available on the Accessories page. Always check that an accessory is compatible with your selected model before purchasing it.
No. NOKO e-bikes are configured to provide motor assistance up to 25 km/h, in compliance with the regulations governing pedal-assisted bicycles. Above this speed, you can continue pedalling, but the motor stops providing assistance.
Any intervention intended to alter this limit is an unauthorised modification, invalidates the NOKO warranty and may make the bicycle non-compliant with the regulations applicable in the country where it is used.
NOKO operates through a Direct-to-Consumer model and currently has no showrooms or retailers offering test rides.
To help you make an informed decision, each product page includes presentation videos, reviews, dedicated content and a complete unboxing video. Our Customer Care team is also available to understand your needs, answer your questions and help you select the most suitable e-bike and configuration.
When you purchase online, you also benefit from free returns within 20 days of delivery, subject to our Return Policy. This guarantee is designed to make purchasing from a distance more reassuring and secure.
All NOKO e-bikes are supplied with 80% assembly as standard, included in the price.
If you prefer to minimise the work required upon delivery, you can add the 100% assembly service to selected models for €99.90. Our workshop prepares the bicycle with the front wheel already installed and the handlebar already inserted.
Once delivered, you only need to position the handlebar correctly, insert and adjust the seat post, and install the pedals.
This service is intended for riders who want more complete preparation before dispatch. It is not available for NOKOMAGMA, NOKOVULCANO or NOKOBLAZE.
The NOKOFORZA, NOKOTEMPO and NOKORIVA City models use the VEER Carbon Belt™, a carbon-fibre belt designed to deliver a smooth and quiet ride.
Unlike a traditional chain, it requires no lubrication, does not stain clothing and does not rust. It is also resistant to rain, dust and mud and can last up to 30,000 km, reducing maintenance requirements to a minimum.
The right choice mainly depends on the routes you ride every day.
A belt drive is quiet, clean and requires no lubrication. It is ideal for predominantly flat journeys and for riders looking for a simple, low-maintenance solution.
A chain drive allows you to use gears and adapt your pedalling to frequent starts, climbs and changes in gradient. It is the more versatile solution for varied routes and only requires the normal periodic maintenance associated with this type of drivetrain.
Use and components
All NOKO e-bikes feature front and rear hydraulic disc brakes designed to provide effective, progressive and easily controlled braking.
Most models use 160 mm discs at both the front and rear. NOKOBLAZE instead uses a 180 mm front disc and a 160 mm rear disc.
Yes. All NOKO e-bikes are supplied with a Welcome Kit containing StVZO-compliant front and rear LED lights for proper visibility while riding.
NOKOBLAZE instead features front and rear lighting integrated directly into the bicycle.
Yes. The kit is compatible with NOKOFORZA, NOKOTEMPO, NOKOURBAN, NOKOLIFE and NOKOLIGHT. You can choose the mudguards alone or the complete kit with rear rack, which is only available together with the mudguards.
NOKORIVA, NOKOTAORMINA and NOKOBLAZE include them as standard. The kit is not compatible with NOKOVULCANO, NOKOVULCANO RS, NOKOMAGMA or NOKOMAGMA RS.
If you associate the kit with a bicycle in the same order, we will install it before dispatch. If you purchase it separately, installation is your responsibility.
It depends on the model and frame type:
- NOKOLIGHT and NOKOBLAZE: no bottle cage mounts.
- City and Urban models with a step-through frame: one bottle cage, or the Range Extender.
- City and Urban models with a step-over frame: two bottle cages, reduced to one when the Range Extender is installed.
The NOKO rear rack with MIK system is not designed for the installation of child seats.
For child seats mounted directly to the frame, compatibility depends on the model and mounting system. Before purchasing, check the suitability of your e-bike with the child-seat manufacturer or a specialist retailer.
NOKO gravel models are available with two high-quality Vision wheelsets, both Tubeless Ready.
- Team 30 TC Disc: aluminium wheels with a 30 mm semi-aerodynamic profile and a weight of 1,920 g. Strong, reliable and smooth-running, they provide a complete solution for both tarmac and gravel riding.
- Metron 40 SL Disc: fitted to the RS versions, these full-carbon wheels have a 40 mm profile and weigh 1,560 g. The 360 g reduction in rotating mass makes the bicycle quicker to accelerate and more responsive when changing direction. The deeper profile also improves aerodynamic efficiency and gives the bicycle a more distinctive, sporty appearance.
The Team 30 prioritises balance, versatility and reliability; the Metron 40 is designed for riders seeking maximum lightness, responsiveness, aerodynamics and design.
As an initial setting, position the saddle approximately level with your hip while standing next to the bicycle.
To check the position, sit on the saddle and place your heel on the pedal at its lowest point. Your leg should be almost fully extended without your hips rocking. When pedalling normally with the front of your foot, your knee will retain a slight bend.
Never exceed the minimum insertion mark on the seat post. After adjustment, make sure the saddle is firmly secured and aligned with the frame.
The pedals are not interchangeable: the right pedal is marked R and the left pedal is marked L.
Before installation, apply a small amount of grease to the threads and screw each pedal in by hand for several turns:
- the right pedal, on the drivetrain side, tightens clockwise;
- the left pedal tightens anticlockwise.
Complete the installation using a 15 mm spanner. If a pedal immediately resists, do not force it: check that you are using the correct pedal and direction.
To remove the pedals, work in the opposite direction: the right pedal loosens anticlockwise and the left pedal clockwise.
Yes. NOKO e-bikes are designed for use in the rain, and their electrical components are protected against splashes and normal riding conditions.
However, the bicycle must not be submerged in water or exposed to high-pressure jets. Do not use a pressure washer or direct water jets at the motor, battery, display, wiring or connectors.
After riding in the rain, dry the bicycle and make sure the charging port is completely dry before connecting the charger.
Electrical system
Before switching on your NOKO, make sure the bicycle is completely stationary and that no pressure is being applied to the pedals. Place both feet on the ground or stabilise the bicycle on a stand, press the power button and wait approximately three seconds for the system to initialise. You can then start riding.
The system must also be switched off only while the bicycle is stationary, using the power button.
If the e-bike is switched on while moving or with pressure on the pedals, the system may enter protection mode and provide no assistance. Repeatedly switching the system on or off while riding can also cause malfunctions or damage electrical components.
The motor depends on the model:
- Most Urban, City and Gravel models: FSA System HM 1.0 rear-hub motor, delivering 250 W and 42 Nm. Its torque sensor adjusts assistance according to the pressure applied to the pedals for a smooth and natural ride.
- NOKOLIGHT: GRINTA System V1 rear-hub motor, delivering 250 W and 42 Nm and managed by a cadence sensor.
- NOKOBLAZE: Truckrun M06 mid-drive motor, delivering 250 W and up to 95 Nm, with a torque sensor for stronger support on demanding routes.
The motor system fitted to each e-bike is always specified in its technical specifications.
All NOKO e-bikes have five assistance levels, allowing you to adjust motor support to suit the route and your riding preferences.
The method used to select and display the levels varies according to the electrical system fitted to the model.
The battery depends on the model:
- City, Urban and Gravel models with the FSA system: an integrated, non-removable 252 Wh battery. The optional 252 Wh Range Extender increases total capacity to 504 Wh.
- NOKOLIGHT: a removable 252 Wh battery, with an optional 378 Wh Extended version.
- NOKOBLAZE: a removable 670 Wh battery integrated into the frame and protected by a keyed lock.
The Range Extender is an external 252 Wh battery compatible exclusively with models equipped with the FSA HM 1.0 system. Together with the integrated battery, it increases total capacity from 252 Wh to 504 Wh.
Once connected, it is recognised automatically. The system first uses the energy stored in the Range Extender and then the main battery.
The Range Extender is not compatible with NOKOLIGHT or NOKOBLAZE.
Never leave the battery completely discharged for long periods. It could become damaged, lose part of its capacity or, in the most serious cases, no longer charge correctly. Replacing a battery is expensive, so proper care is essential.
If you do not plan to use your NOKO for more than three months, for example during winter:
- store the battery at approximately 30–60% charge;
- check the charge level at least every six months and, if necessary, recharge it to approximately 30–60%;
- store the bicycle or battery in a cool, dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and heat sources;
- only use the charger supplied with your NOKO;
- do not leave the battery permanently connected to the charger.
The indicative times for a complete charge from 0% to 100% are:
- Models with the FSA system: approximately 4 hours;
- NOKOLIGHT with 252 Wh battery: approximately 4 hours;
- NOKOLIGHT with 378 Wh Extended battery: approximately 6 hours;
- NOKOBLAZE with 670 Wh battery: approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes.
The 0% figure is used only as a reference for the maximum charging time. In everyday use, do not wait until the battery is completely discharged; recharge it preferably at approximately 20–30%.
Actual times may vary slightly depending on the remaining charge, temperature and battery condition. Always use the charger supplied with your NOKO.
The remaining charge is displayed differently depending on the model:
- Models with the FSA system: after switching on, the button displays a steady light for the selected assistance level and a light that flashes every two seconds to indicate the battery charge: green 75–100%, blue 50–75%, yellow 25–50%, red below 25%.
- NOKOLIGHT and NOKOBLAZE: check the remaining charge on the bicycle display or through the indicator lights directly on the battery. The more indicators are illuminated, the higher the charge level.
Yes. All NOKO e-bikes can be used without electrical assistance.
Models with the FSA system and NOKOLIGHT are derived from our experience with conventional bicycles: the motor creates no resistance when pedalling, and the ultralight weight allows you to continue riding naturally and smoothly. Electrical assistance is available when needed without taking away the riding sensation of a conventional bicycle.
NOKOBLAZE can also be ridden with an empty battery, and its drivetrain allows you to select the most suitable gear. However, because it is a more robust e-bike with a mid-drive motor and high-capacity battery, riding without assistance requires more effort.
It depends on the model:
- Models with the FSA system: the battery is integrated into the frame and cannot be removed by the rider. It may only be removed by a qualified technician for service or replacement. Charging is carried out by connecting the charger directly to the port on the bicycle.
- NOKOLIGHT and NOKOBLAZE: the battery is removable and can be charged either while installed on the bicycle or separately, for example at home or in the office.
Updates for the FSA HM 1.0 system are installed through the FSA System app, available for Android and iOS. After connecting the app to your NOKO, follow the on-screen instructions to install the available update.
Before starting:
- fully charge the e-bike battery;
- make sure your smartphone has at least 70% charge;
- enable Bluetooth and use a stable internet connection.
During the update, keep the smartphone close to the bicycle, do not close the app and do not press the e-bike power button. Wait for confirmation that the process is complete before using or switching off the system.
Yes. You do not need an app or smartphone to use your NOKO.
On models with the FSA system, power and assistance levels are controlled directly through the button integrated into the bicycle. NOKOLIGHT and NOKOBLAZE have dedicated displays and handlebar controls.
The FSA app provides additional features on compatible models, including updates and system settings, but it is not required to use the e-bike.
Maintenance and support
The VEER Carbon Belt™ drivetrain requires neither lubrication nor the periodic maintenance associated with a chain. However, it is important to keep it clean.
After riding on muddy or particularly dirty roads, rinse the belt, pulleys and tensioner with water, making sure that no stones or other debris remain trapped between the components. Do not apply oil or grease to the belt.
The correct pressure depends on the tyre model, rider weight and type of route. Always follow the minimum and maximum values shown on the tyre sidewall and never exceed them.
Within this range, a lower pressure favours comfort and grip, while a higher pressure favours rolling efficiency.
We recommend a complete inspection of your NOKO every 12 months or every 2,000 km, whichever comes first.
The frequency may vary according to riding style and conditions. Frequent use on uneven surfaces, in rain or mud, or particularly intensive use may make an earlier inspection advisable.
The inspection should cover the brakes, tyres, wheels, fasteners, drivetrain and general operation of the electrical system.
Keep the discs and pads clean and prevent them from coming into contact with oil, grease or other lubricants.
If braking becomes less effective, lever travel increases, or you notice unusual vibrations or noises, stop using the bicycle and have the system checked by a qualified technician.
Inspection of the brake pads, discs and hydraulic circuit should also be included in the periodic servicing of your NOKO.
Yes. After the warranty expires, you can still contact our Customer Care team to purchase spare parts and components compatible with your NOKO.
Correct battery care is essential to preserve performance and prevent premature damage, especially during long periods of non-use.
See the complete guide in the Electrical system section: “How can I extend the service life of the battery?”
