FSA (Full Speed Ahead) is a global manufacturer of professional cycling components. The HM 1.0 system is the integrated electric solution powering NOKO bikes: rear hub motor, lithium battery integrated into the frame, torque sensor and controller in a single ecosystem engineered to work in perfect synergy.

The heart of the HM 1.0 system is a brushless DC motor integrated into the rear hub. Silent, compact and free of mechanical friction on the drivetrain, it delivers 250W of nominal power with 42Nm of torque - managed in real time by the integrated torque sensor, which calibrates assistance in proportion to the force applied to the pedals with every pedal stroke.
When the motor is off or above 25 km/h, the wheel rolls completely free with nomechanical resistance.
Battery with Samsung cells, 252Wh capacity, integrated into the frame's down tube: a position that keeps the centre of gravity low and centred, preserving the bike's lines without aesthetic compromises.
100 km of real-world range on a single full charge completed in 4 hours. Designed to deliver over 500 charge cycles and a total lifespan exceeding 50,000 km - a platform built to last.
The HM 1.0 system features 5 assistance levels selec table via the integrated button, up to the European legal limit of 25 km/h. On startup, the system automatically activates at ECO level and the torque sensor self-calibrates - it is essential not to apply any load on the pedals during this phase.
Levels are identified by an LED colour:
• Level 1 - ECO (green)
• Level 2 (blue)
• Level 3 (pink)
• Level 4 (yellow)
• Level 5 - BOOST (red)
The battery charge level can be monitored in real time via the LED flash, or with greater accuracy through the dedicated app.
The Range Extender is the energy expansion module of the FSA HM 1.0 system: it mounts on the dedicated holder fixed to the frame and connects to the dedicated port, instantly doubling the total system capacity from 252Wh to 504Wh.
The system manages both batteries automatically: on startup, the Range Extender is detected and activated automatically. The Range Extender energy is consumed first - when depleted, the system switches automatically to the main battery.
The charge level can be monitored in real time via the integrated LEDs on the device or through the FSA System app.
With both batteries fully charged, total range reaches up to 200 km on a single charging session.
The FSA System app (iOS and Android) connects to the bike via Bluetooth and turns your smartphone into a complete digital dashboard, fully customisable based on the data you want to monitor.
The dashboard displays in real time: speed, active assistance level, battery charge status (main battery and Range Extender separately), odometer, energy consumption, motor/rider power ratio, distance travelled, session duration and altitude.
From the same app you can perform firmware updates, access system diagnostics and monitor the overall status of the bike at any time.
The motor stays on without providing assistance, allowing you to switch levels while riding without stopping. Range remains at its maximum.
These figures are indicative and refer to an 80 kg rider on mixed terrain at 20 °C. Actual range also depends on gradient, wind, tyre pressure and pedalling cadence. The more actively you pedal, the closer you can get to the upper value shown for each level.
